Mumbai: Imtiaz Ali's "Highway", a film set in six different states, has finished its shooting eight days ahead of its planned 60-day schedule.
The film that casts the unusual pair of Randeep Hooda with Alia Bhatt is shot in snow-clad mountains of Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir to desert regions of Rajasthan along with Gurgaon.
The film captures the journey of two completely opposite people who are thrown together by fate.
The cast and crew of the movie had to face extreme weather conditions and negotiate with difficult terrains during the entire shoot.
"This film had the most number of locations in a film for me, and yet the shortest span of shoot. Of course that's how it should have been for a movie called Highway. This shooting has been the most intense and liberating journey," Imtiaz said.
"There's no place to begin if I start talking about the film and I won't stop. So I would rather save my emotions for myself to know," Alia said.
The Director is again teaming with Academy-award winning music director A R Rahman for the film post their successful collaboration in 'Rockstar'. The film is slated for a release on December 13.
