New Delhi: Philately enthusiasts rejoice. Commemorative postage stamp collections from India Post are now available for online purchase through e-commerce site Snapdeal.
The philately collectibles from India Post put on sale on the site include the ones issued to mark Sachin Tendulkar's 200th Test match, FIFA World Cup 2014 and India's freedom struggle.
At the time of posting there were only eight collections listed with prices ranging from Rs 300 to Rs 5,500 and there is an additional delivery charge of Rs 50. Some of the items come with additional freebies such as bookmarks, key rings and coffee mugs.
The description of the India Post store on Snapdeal says, "Collectibles that commemorate the rich heritage of Indian postage."
As India Post is named as the official seller, we expect the packages to be delivered by the postman rather than by a courier boy from a private company.
