Inter girl sets herself ablaze

HYDERABAD: An Intermediate student set herself ablaze reportedly due to family problems at Meerpet on Sunday.Soumya (19) was a resident of Jillelaguda and studying Inter second year in a college at Dilsukhnagar.According to police, Soumya's family has been planning to perform her marriage and started looking for proposals.Depressed over rejection by some people, Soumya set herself ablaze and died instantly.Meerpet police registered a case and are investigating.Meanwhile, a 26-yearold person, who attempted suicide by self-immolation a couple of days back, succumbed to burns late Saturday night.M Ramesh of Bahadurpura reportedly took the extreme step disturbed over the refusal of his inlaws to send his wife home.
