New Delhi: Shiv Sena Ravindra Gaikwad has attacked an Air India staffer with a slipper and even gone on to justify his act saying the staffer misbehaved with him.
Gaikwad also said he got into an altercation with the staff of Air India as he was given a business class ticket despite having an economy class seat.
This is not the first time an elected representative has acted in such a boorish manner. Here are some previously reported instances where our MLAs and MPs have displayed such arrogant behaviour.
July 2015: DMK leader MK Stalin slapped a co-passenger on Chennai metro train.
November 2015: YSR Congress MP Mithun Reddy slapped Air India officer as he fails to board flight on time.
June 2016: Shiv Sena MLA Sada Sarvankar slapped a person filming him attending people’s queries.
February 2016: Shiv Sena leader Shashikant Kalgude beat a woman traffic constable as he was asked to halt for speaking on phone while driving.
June 2016: Shiv Sena leader Praveen Shinde slapped an employee of Central Bank of India
