In a bid to increase awareness on cardiac failure among people, Frontier Lifeline Hospital will be hosting a Heart Failure Awareness Week till September 29.
The programme will focus on imparting advice about heart failure management, information on new therapies, including EECP, stem cell therapy and heart transplants. The objective of the programme is to increase the survival rate and the quality of life of patients, susceptible to heart complications.
Heart failure is fast becoming common in India and results in a high mortality rate. Unlike western countries where only elder ly people are affected by heart problems, even youngsters in India are prone to this complication. Changing lifestyle and stress increases the risk of cardiac complications among youngsters.
The programme will increase awareness among them through clinical evaluation and expert opinions on diet. As part of the campaign, Frontier Lifeline will also offer patients special concessional packages. Registration and consultation will be free, but by appointment only.
