SS Slathia said that Rs 2,235.29 crores and Rs 1,278.67 crores have been invested in 6,227 and 6,060 industrial units.
Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday said that new industrial houses set up in the state have provided employment to 63,201 persons.
Under new industrial policy, the industrial houses of J&K have provided employment to 63,201 persons in the state, Minister for Industries SS Slathia told Legislative Council.
Slathia, who was replying to the question of of member Sheikh Ghulam Rasool during question hour, said that of these 33,950 have been provided employment by these houses in Kashmir region and 29,251 persons in Jammu region.
He further said that Rs 2,235.29 crores and Rs 1,278.67 crores have been invested in 6,227 and 6,060 industrial units of Jammu and Kashmir division respectively.
