BANGALORE: Urban Development, BWSSB, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister S Suresh Kumar has organised a day-long Udyog Mela (job fair) exclusively for his Rajajinagar constituency on November 27 which is expected to provide placement to 5769 youths in as many as nine various trades. Karnataka State Skill Development Corporation is the nodal agency for conducting the Udyog Mela. “As many as 54 companies from different sectors such as BPO, production and manufacturing units, security, hospitality, automobile, banking and retail have already confirmed of their participation and also notified the qualification required for various posts,” Suresh Kumar said, while speaking to reporters here on Friday.“This Udyog Mela is aimed at helping essentially those who are in the general academic qualification such as SSLC, PUC, degree, diploma and not for highly-skilled personnel,” the law minister explained and said, “This is first-of-its kind in my constituency.” The mela is being organised at Venkat International school, near Rama Mandir in Rajajinagar.
