The CBI court here posted the sensational Kaviyoor case hearing to October 15. CBI special Judge T S P Moosath posted the case while hearing the argument in the petition filed by ‘Crime’ editor T P Nandakumar seeking cancellation of further investigation report in the case.

In his submission, Nandakumar said that the further investigation report submitted by the CBI was  farce and calculatedly intended to save some persons.

He told the court that the prime accused, Latha Nair, had not been subjected to any thorough interrogation. The CBI had only taken her statement,  he added.

Saritha, who had conducted the post-mortem examination had mentioned that the vaginal swab of Anagha contained human spermatozoa and it was evident that she was sexually harassed just before her death. However, Nandakumar said that there was no reference to the findings and statements of  Saritha in the further investigation report.

In the CBI report, it has been stated that Anagha was subjected to sexual harassment 15 to 20 days before her death,

Nandakumar said that the CBI had not investigated into the earlier sexual exploitations.

He also said that the CBI was merely relying on Latha Nair’s statement that Narayanan Namboodiri had alone sexually assaulted Anagha.

On the allegation that he had tried to coerce and induce Latha Nair to fabricate false evidence against politicians and other persons in the case, Nandakumar submitted that he had met Latha Nair in jail and at that time she had sought more time to speak the truth.

But later, she refused to divulge the names as someone through Superintendent of Vanitha Jail, A Naseera Beevi, had conveyed to her that she would land in more trouble.

He also told the court that the truth would come out if Latha Nair and Naseera Beevi were subjected to narco analysis and polygraph tests.

Former ministers and CPM leaders Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, M A Baby and P K Sreemathy had sought appropriate action against Crime editor T P Nandakumar for fabricating false evidence and attempting to malign them and derail the investigation in the case.
