New Delhi: Reality TV shows got another celebrity host with Mandira Bedi all set to anchor a kids dance programme.
CNN-IBN talks to Cricket's first lady on IPL, cheerleaders, Charu Sharma and her brand new look!
Mandira Bedi will be back with Bollywood's ace choreographer Saroj Khan after a gap of 13-long years for a new reality show where kids will be transformed into superstars.
However, Mandira's new hairstyle isn't really an attempt to look younger. There's a different story to it.
"Actually I had a hair cut somewhere. It was bad. I went to my regular hairdresser and asked him to salvage it. He said it will turn out to be really short and I said I don't care. It turned out to be very short but good,” says Mandira Bedi.
With so much happening in the Indian Premier League, Mandira gets talking on the cheerleader’s controversy.
"I think there is nothing wrong in the concept of cheerleaders. They add value. The only think I don’t like is the way camera's go up their skirts. That is the only thing I do not approve of,” says Mandira.
On the Bhajji Slapgate with Sreesanth, Mandira says, “If one bad thing happened in the IPL, it is this slap controversy”.
Vijay Mallya recently fired Charu Sharma and Mandira thinks, "If the team doesn’t perform, omeone's head has to be on the chopping board or be guillotined. It is just unfortunate that it was Charu's”.
She also says that she is not cheering for anyone in IPL matches. “Whoever I cheer for does not win. So, I decide on the day of the game,” says Mandira.
