New Delhi: Close on the heels of Delhi government coming down heavily on encroachments, Kerala government seems to be following suit.
The Kerala government prepared to order an inquiry into the encroachment of public land in Munnar in Idukki district, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said on Tuesday.
Addressing a press meet here after a cabinet meeting, Achuthanandan said action will be taken against officials who helped the land grabbers.
State Revenue Minister K P Rajendran and Forest Minister Binoy Viswam, who visited Munnar on Tuesday, had given their report on the issue, he said.
Steps will be taken to evict encroachers from government lands, he said.
