Kochiite wins body building title

KOCHI: Peter Joseph of Kochi won the second place and silver medal at the Asian Body Building competition held at Bangkok. He is the only Keralite who was part of the six-member Indian team participated in the competition.A total of 25 countries took part in the competition. Iran won the first place while Pakistan came third.Peter Joseph’s medal is the first Asian medal by an Indian in the Masters’ category, saidKerala State Body Building Association secretary Pramod M V. A function will be organised at Angamaly to accord welcome to Peter Joseph, said Ernakulam District Body Building Association treasurer Wilson Vadakkumcherry.Peter Joseph has earlier won the Mr India title at the age of 50. He will also be attending the World championship to be held at Bangkok in 2012. He has already started preparations for taking part in the championship.
