Kolkata Student Death Case: Liquor Shop Owner Arrested
The Kolkata police made arrested another liquor shop owner for allegedly selling liquor to teenagers in connection with the mysterious death of Aabesh Dasgupta in Kolkata.

Kolkata: Four days after the mysterious death of a 17-year old Aabesh Dasgupta reportedly during a birthday party of author Author Amit Chaudhuri's daughter, the Kolkata police arrested another liquor shop owner for allegedly selling liquor to teenagers.

The arrest was made after the shop owner was found guilty of violating a law that forbids sale of liquor to anyone below 21 years of age. It was learnt that victim along with his friends reportedly bought liquor from the arrested shop owner.

Meanwhile, Dasgupta's autopsy report has also failed to prove conclusively whether it was a murder or accident.

In July 23, death of Aabesh at 6 Sunny Park, a building in the upscale Ballygunge area of Kolkata sent shockwaves across the city.

The victim Aabesh Dasgputa was a student of class 12 at The Cambridge School and had gone with his friends to surprise author Amit Chaudhuri's daughter on her birthday.

What investigators have corroborated till now based on the statements of the youngsters is that Aabesh was carrying the liquor bottle under his left armpit and tripped on it.

The glass pieces then pierced through his axillary artillery, which led to a cardiac arrest and multi organ failure.
