But during the last 10 days the supply from these areas has come down drastically due to the ongoing protest in Koodankulam, where fishermen have kept away from the sea.”The arrivals of most sought after Spanish mackerel (Vanchiram) has reduced by more than half at Ukkadam market. “Generally we receive around 800 kf to 1,200 kg of Spanish mackerel (Vanchiram) but we are getting around 300 kg now,” said SubairSimilarly there is a significant fall in the supply of sea bass (Koduvai) eel (Vilongu) anchovy (Neththali)  also.“Now look towards Kerala to offset the fall in the supply.
