Mumbai: The making of 2006's biggest blockbuster Krrish will soon be taught in major business schools in India and abroad as a case study in various fields of management.

The film has been selected by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore in collaboration with Asia Case Research Center, University of Hong Kong and Harvard Business Case Clearance House to make International case studies in the field of Media and Entertainment.

IIM-I has unanimously shortlisted Krrish as one of the first Indian movies fit for an international level case study.

The case study will be taught in IIMs as well as B-schools across Europe, Asia and Latin and North America. The case will be released across the world through the Harvard Case Clearance House.

"This research will immensely help international and Indian students to learn about implementation of best management practices, global management of business, global factor of production, leadership as well as devising new management strategies regarding industrial marketing, global competition, global penetration and market capitalisation," professor of International Business and Marketing, Dr Prashant Salwan, wrote in a letter to the film's producer-director Rakesh Roshan.

Krrish is one of the first Indian movies, which has created a brand called India and propagated Indian cinema style, Dr Salwan said.

Meanwhile, Roshan said he has given his approval to IIM-I to study the making of Krrish.

"It is an honour for the Indian film industry, that the making of an Indian film has been chosen for academic and research purpose," he said.
