Late Nawab Pataudi's daughter Saba forms new board to look after royal properties
Late Mansoor Ali Khan's daughter Saba Sultan, who is the Mutawalli (custodian) of Auqaf-e-Shahi (royal properties), has de-centralised its work and formed a five-member executive board to solve all its issues.

Late Mansoor Ali Khan's daughter Saba Sultan, who is the Mutawalli (custodian) of Auqaf-e-Shahi (royal properties), has de-centralised its work and formed a five-member executive board to solve all its issues.

Saba told reporters in Bhopal on Sunday that she was determined to solve all the problems related to the Auqaf-e-Shahi and will now discharge her duties to fulfill objectives for which the 'Auqaf' was meant.

The move to form a new executive body and to decentralise work will bring more transparency in the board for the Auqaf-e-Shahi properties, she said.

Saba said the previous board of directors will automatically be diluted or ended after the announcement of new executive board.  The new five-member executive board for Auqaf-e-Shahi will have Chairman of Reliable Group of Industries Sikander Hafeez Khan, former chairman of Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board Ghufran-e-Azam, former Secretary and retired deputy Collector Omar Farooque Khatani, retired IFS  Mohammad Hashim, and former General Manager of BHEL ZU Alvi as its members.

Saba said that she has authorised Sikander Haffez Khan to look after matters related with 'Rubaats' (guest houses) at Mecca and Madina in Saudia Arabia. The 'Rubaats' were made at Mecca and Madina by the then Bhopal Nawab Hamidullah Khan for the people of Bhopal, Raisen and Sehore districts (the princely estate) to stay there during Haj pilgrimage at less expense.

Saba said she will now visit Bhopal frequently to monitor the committee work which would ensure that income through 'Auqaf' be used for more and more for charitable purposes.
