THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In an unfortunate accident that took place near Overbridge in the city on Wednesday, a middle-aged man lost his life. The deceased was identified as Rajan of Poozhikunnu here. A KSRTC bus ran over him around 4.30 pm, police said.Rajan was riding his two-wheeler from Ayurveda College to Fort direction when his vehicle fell into the gutter on the road left open for installing a median. Following this, he lost balance and fell onto the road and the KSRTC bus, which was following close by, ran over his head. The driver of the bus fled the scene right after the accident.The Thampanoor police have registered a case against the bus driver, whose name they could not find out.The body of Rajan was taken to the mortuary of the Medical College Hospital here.
