HYDERABAD: Mahankali police on Sunday apprehended a man, who was allegedly involved in duping people and collecting money from them, from a lodge at Lakdi-ka-pul where he was staying. S Ranga Rao, Inspector of Mahankali, said that Surendra Kumar had set up a financial assisting firm, in the name of Paruchuri Global Financial Services at R T Nagar in Bangalore. The accused duped the managing director and director of Kyori Oremin to the tune of Rs 40 lakh by giving assurance to provide bank guarantee for a loan facility of Rs 25 crore. When the accused stopped answering their phone calls, Oremin representatives lodged a complaint based on which the Mahankali police arrested him here.
