Faridabad: Haryana Government is committed to development of all parts of the state equally, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday said in Faridabad while announcing several projects for the district.

He was addressing a huge gathering at Mohna Anaj Mandi in Faridabad. The rally, called as 'Prithla Pragati Rally', was organised by the Prithla unit of BJP in collaboration with BSP MLA Tekchand Sharma to draw the attention of the chief minister towards the development work needed in the area.

In his address, Khattar said his government is committed to development of all parts of the state equally.

In order to eradicate corruption from the state, the facility of 'CM Window' has been started so that the complaints reach directly to the chief minister, he said.

Mentioning the compensation paid to farmers on account of loss of crop due to unseasonal rain, the chief minister said, "the government has paid an amount of Rs 1,092 crore to wipe the tears of the poor farmers".

He said his government's priority is to provide round the clock electricity to every citizen of the state. In this connection, he said power theft should be stopped and the people should pay overdue bills.

During his visit in Faridabad, Khattar inaugurated projects worth several crores.

The inaugurations started with the 33 KVA sub-station of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam installed at a cost of over Rs 2.64 crore. This sub-station would be serving villages Karauli, Junhera, Motuka, Dulhepur, Panhera Khurd, Dayalpur, Narhawali and many others.

He also inaugurated the much awaited railway overbridge at village Malerna which can be used by people coming from Delhi and passing through Faridabad who can now opt the by-pass road from Badarpur which is connected to National Highway 2 at village Kaili.

With the inauguration of the overbridge, completed at a cost of Rs 40.20 crore, hundreds of commuters to Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan, etc can now can avoid the traffic of Faridabad and Ballabgarh.

Prior to this, he laid the foundation stone of the Farmers rest house in Mohna Anaj Mandi. This project would be completing at a cost of Rs 60 lakh.

In response to demands by BSP MLA from Prithla, Tek Chand Sharma, Khattar said that a government college would be coming up in Mohna and added that rainwater will be supplied to solve the problem of bad quality of water in 40 villages.

He also assured that a barrage and a dam would be coming up on the Yamuna. For this, an aid of Rs 5 crore was announced by the chief minister.

He also made an announcement to allocate revenue received from Mohna Mandi. Till now, the revenue was added to the Ballabgarh account. Now this would be the independent revenue of the area.

He also said that after an initial survey, an ITI would be coming up near Sikrona village and a woman training center in the name of Late Brigadier Chandan Singh in Panhera Khurd would be set up.

He announced an aid of Rs 1 crore for the development of village Fatehpur Billoch, which has been adopted by MLA Tekchand Sharma.

Also, additional funds for roads, veterinary hospital and sports stadium in Shahpur Kalan, opening of gym in 10 villages, roads to connect IMT and to take immediate action in release of compensation held by some farmers were other announcements which were acknowledged by the people with loud applause.
