Family disputes led to the murder of a mechanic by his brother-inlaw at a workshop in Srinagar colony near Punjagutta here on Monday.
After killing the victim, the accused surrendered before the police. According to the police, the deceased was identified as Nawaz (35), a resident of Mehdipatnam. The accused are Mazhar, Nawaz’s brother- in-law, and Anwar, a mechanic at Mazhar’s workshop.
Nawaz married Nafeeza Begum nine years ago and had been working in his workshop as a mechanic. “Nawaz had disputes with his wife. Nafeeza brought the issue to Mazhar’s notice and he in turn warned Nawaz to change his attitude.
Mazhar discussed the issue with Nawaz on Sunday. Nawaz bore a grudge against Mazhar and tried to attack him with a knife at the workshop.
Mazhar and Anwar overpowered and stabbed him causing his instant death,” Panjagutta inspector N Tirupathi Rao said. Later, both Mazhar and Anwar rushed to the police and surrendered themselves. Police seized the knife from them and registered a case
