London: It seems all hell broke loose on a North Yorkshire football team recently, when everything they tried to do landed them in a mess.

The team members were forced to brand themselves as the ‘unluckiest side in Britain’ after they turned up for a home game against Dunnington to find that their pitch had been double-booked, and when no other local pitch was available, they had to drive 20 miles to Dunnington to play the ‘home’ York league match.

But their spate of bad luck didn’t end just there, as when they got back they found that their wallets and mobile phones had all been stolen.

"We went out and played the game and got totally stuffed 8-0 by Dunnington, so the mood wasn't all that great when we got back to the changing rooms,” Ananova.com quoted Team manager Steve Baxter, as saying.

"I don't know what you would call it. I suppose you could say it's extreme bad luck, because I don't think anyone was particularly targeting our things," he added.

The previous week too, the four players had their cars broken into while they had been playing football on pitches behind York's Knavesmire.

"It's a sad state of affairs, but we have a few players who have told me they are not going to play any more because of this, because at some point it stops being enjoyable when this kind of thing happens," Baxter said.

What's your reaction?
