Hollywood actor Michael Douglas' son Cameron has been sentenced to five years in prison for drug dealing, says a report.
Cameron was arrested in a New York hotel last year and later pleaded guilty to possession and dealing methamphetamine and cocaine (drugs).
"I'd like to apologise to my family and my loved ones for putting them through this nightmare of my own making," contactmusic.com quoted him as saying.
Federal Judge Richard Berman announced the sentence Tuesday after hearing Cameron apologise and admit that he had squandered a lot of opportunities to turn his life around.
Cameron's family submitted letters to the judge, asking for leniency. Judge Berman said he had taken the letters into account, but too many treated Cameron as a victim.
"Get over the idea," said Berman.
The judge also handed Cameron $25,000 of fine and sentenced him to serve 450 hours of community service
