Halflong (Assam): Hours after an attack on a train, militants fired at a goods train in central Assam's North Cachhar Hills district Saturday morning, leaving a railway protection force personnel injured.
Official sources said Dima Halan Daogah (j) insurgents fired at the train near Warengdisa as it was proceeding towards Dijaonra from Lamdingat at 7:50 a.m.(IST).
All trains on both sides of the track have been halted.
The same group had on Friday attacked a train from a hilltop at Badarpur-lumding Barak Vally Express, killing a CRPF jawan and critically injured 14 passengers.
