Ministers pull chariot on Rahuls birthday

PUDUCHERRY: Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V Narayanasamy, former Chief Minister V Vaithilingam, PCC president A V Subramanian and Congress party workers  pulled a golden chariot at the Manakula Vinayakar temple and prayed at the Mullah Street Dargha on Rahul Gandhi’s 41st  birthday.The Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee workers celebrated his birthday at various places around town. Workers of the Mahila Congress,led by its leader Victoria, offered special prayers at the Heart of God Church in Subbiah Street.The PCC orgnanised special meetings at various centres including the party office and distributed stationeries to poor students.A blood donation camp,inaugurated by MLA Lakshminarayanan, was held at the Government GH.  PCC leader C Vetrichelvan said the Congress activists would donate blood once a week from June 19 to August 20, the birthday of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
