In Ilayathalapathy's upcoming flick 'Jilla', news is that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal plays a crucial role in the film. The latest on this is that he portrays the role of a Godfather. In 'Jilla', the actor is said to play a respectable head in Madurai, while Vijay is his successor in it. Also for this Madurai based film, a huge set is being erected in Chennai, to resemble a typical Madurai style house.
Mahat plays the role of Vijay's brother in the film and he says that his role is pivotal and that he has three songs along with the actor. 'Jilla' has Vijay, Mohanlal, Kajal, Poornima Baghyraj, Mahat, Soori and Thambi Ramaiah as star cast. The film is directed by Nesan and the cinematographer is Natraj. Music for the film has been scored by Imman.
