MTC issues applications for free bus passes

CHENNAI: The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has started issuing applications for free bus passes for students studying in government recognised schools, government Arts Colleges, Government Polytechnics and ITIs from Monday. According to a release from MTC, applications for the computerised issue of bus passes would be obtained from the MTC Head Office on Pallavan Salai. While obtaining the application, the MTC officials would inform the institutions the date when the agency would go to their premises to photograph and issue the computerised passes. The free bus pass scheme covers students of Classes 1 to 12 in all government-recognised schools, colleges, polytechnics and ITIs.
