No competition for 'Dammu'
No competition for 'Dammu'
This year is interestingly different, with just two big releases in the whole of April - 'Racha' and 'Dammu'.

Generally, April-May is that time of the year when at least three releases compete on screens. This year 2012 is interestingly different, with just two big releases in the whole of April - 'Racha' and 'Dammu'. The films are well spaced out in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

The distributors and exhibitors of 'Dammu' cannot ask for more. The film is not threatened by even a whiff of competition in AP and even in Karnataka.

In fact, 'Dammu' was to be contend two Kannada releases of 'Puneeth Rajkumar' and 'Upendra' but they have been duly put on hold. 'Parie', a small-time film, is the only release on April 27 apart from 'Dammu'.

'Dammu' is releasing with 1200 prints tomorrow. It is the biggest ever Telugu release in Karnataka, opening in 150 screens. Unrivaled at the BO, 'Dammu' is sure to get stunning openings.
