Rijiju during his maiden visit to the state on July 4, had alleged that CCS funds were being diverted which would be strictly monitored to ensure its utilisation.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki on Tuesday denied the allegation of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju of siphoning of central sponsored schemes (CCSs) and said a third party monitoring system by state and central governments was in place to take the guilty to task.

Rijiju during his maiden visit to the state on July 4, had alleged that CCS funds were being diverted which would be strictly monitored to ensure its utilisation.

On the induction of the remaining two ministers, Tuki, while talking to reporters during the reception of newly appointed state Congress president Padi Richo at the Congress Bhawan here said though it was the prerogative of the Chief Minister, it would take place anytime in consultation with the party high command.

Richo, who was appointed the new state Congress chief in place of Rajya Sabha member Mukut Mithi, reiterated his commitment to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

Admitting that there were communication gaps between the party and the people for which good works of the state and central governments could not be communicated, Richo said wide publicity would be given on the state's innovative policies.

Denying any rift in the party, Tuki said, "Defeat or victory is part of politics. There is no wave that could beat the Congress which is very strong in the state."
