Norms have been flouted

BANGALORE: The Congress, which is contesting the byelections to Koppal assembly seat, has charged the ruling BJP government of misusing official machinery and violating the election code of conduct with impunity.In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer here on Monday, a party delegation led by KPCC vice-president Dr A B Malakareddy stated that BJP leaders are banking on the distribution of money and liquor to voters. They add that the BJP and JD(S) have turned the byelection into a game of money and politics.
