Swift actions of an alert Railway Protection Staff (RPF) member averted a tragedy after he rescued a 36-year-old man, who had stumbled dangerously close to a moving train while attempting to board it at Vasai Road Station.

In December 2023, a woman and her two children miraculously survived after a train ran over them at a Bihar railway station. A video of the incident went viral on social media, which showed the mother crouching over her children on the tracks as the train passed over them. All three survived without a scratch, officials noted.

In March 2023, a father-son duo slipped and fell while trying to catch a moving train at the Akola station in Maharashtra. While the father fell onto the platform, the son slipped into the gap between the platform and the moving train.

The boy was rescued safely by vigilant RPF officials after the train was stopped. RPF shared the video of the incident on their official Twitter handle.

“A father-son duo encountered a terrifying moment as the son slipped into the gap between the platform and train while attempting to catch a moving train at Akola station. Kudos to vigilant RPF officials, the boy was rescued safely,” RPF tweeted.
