New Delhi: A minor was killed, while another was injured in two separate shooting incidents in Delhi on New Year’s Eve.
In the first incident reported from New Usmanpur area, police received a call about an eight-year-old — identified as Reyan — shot during New Year celebrations in his locality. The cops rushed him to hospital but he was declared dead on arrival. Police have registered an FIR under IPC 302 (murder) and have initiated the investigation. Three suspects are being questioned and arrests are likely to be made.
In the second incident, a 12-year-old was shot at a house party near Photo Chowk and police received the information around 12.32am. The minor received a gunshot injury on his shoulder and was first taken to JPC hospital where he received preliminary medical aid. His condition is said to be stable. Police have registered an FIR and also rounded up five suspects who are being questioned.
