BANGALORE: With the reported indictment of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and four of his Cabinet ministers by the Lokayukta which had investigated the illegal ore mining in the state, the Congress and JD(S) have decided to go in for a kill on the BJP.
After making several attempts to dislodge the government the Opposition parties have seen an opportunity in the alleged indictment of the CM and ministers by the Lokayukta. The report reportedly contains information on illegal mining in a few districts of the state.Notwithstanding the reported indictment of a few partymen in the report, state Congress has decided to pin down the government on the issue and suspend from party those whose names may figure in the report. With this, they believe, they can exert pressure on BJP to initiate action against the defiant CM. Sources told Express: "The Congress has decided to sacrifice some of its leaders whose names may figure in the final report of the Lokayukta and it is waiting for its formal submission to the government."
