HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old man died after he rammed his bike into the railing of the Punjagutta flyover and fell down from the bridge late on Saturday night. According to the police, the victim, Ch Venkatesh, was in an inebriated condition when the mishap occurred. Venkatesh had been working in an IT firm in Jubilee Hills and residing in Balkampet. He hailed from Siddantham village in East Godavari.Panjagutta sub-inspector Mirza Waheed Baig said, “It is a case of drunk driving and he might have been riding the bike at a high speed.”Venkatesh along with his two friends Chaitanya and Abhilash consumed liquor at a restaurant in Banjara Hills and went home. However, he later realised he had left his helmet at the restaurant and headed back there. “After taking the Panjagutta flyover, he lost control over the bike, hit the railing and fell off it,” Baigh said.
