Pak: Man held for hosting 'obscene' dance party

Lahore: A man has been arrested for arranging an 'obscene' dance party for his wedding function in Pakistan's Punjab province, police officials said on Sunday.

The incident occurred in Toba Tek Singh district, 125 kilometres from Lahore, on Friday night.

The bridegroom, Mazhar Iqbal, 30, and his friends called three dancing girls who performed 'vulgar dances' outside his house, police officials said.

Acting on a complaint from a neighbour, police conducted a raid and arrested Iqbal, six of his relatives and friends and the dancing girls.

Police have registered a criminal case against them.
