Boston: The passengers of a US Airways flight were deplaned on Tuesday evening (IST) after a suspicious baggage was found on-board. The passengers of flight 1716 were evacuated in a secure building at Boston's Logan International Airport after the bag was detected.
However, after investigations, an all-clear was given by the airport authorities.
The US is taking extra precautions after the twin bomb blasts at the Boston Marathon earlier on Tuesday morning (IST). Three people died and over 150 were injured in the blasts that occurred near the finishing line of the marathon in which contestants from over 90 countries took part.
US President Barack Obama later on Tuesday (IST) admitted that the twin bombings in Boston were an "act of terror" and that the country's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was investigating the incident.
Obama, who had refrained from using the word "terror" in his earlier address after the blasts, said the "Americans will not be terrorised" and that justice will be done.
