The grains, bought from the APL families or procured through fake cards, are sold by the FPS dealers into open market, said a senior official at the Civil Supplies Department. Besides rice supplied at Rs 1 per kg, other subsidised commodities are: Red gram dal at Rs 50 per kg, palm oil at Rs 40 per litre, kerosene (Rs 15 per litre), sugar (Rs 13. 50 per kg), wheat (Rs 7 per kg). While grains entitlement of a section of the population under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) has been extended to 35 kg per family, a BPL family is supplied 20 kg of the grains.
