MADURAI: The Commissioner of Police (CoP), Madurai, was directed by the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Wednesday to file his reply to a plea seeking revocation of ‘Attack’ Pandi’s detention under the Goondas Act.The CoP recommended the detention of Pandi following complaints that he had forcibly taken over the houses of Jegatheesan of K K Nagar and Prithviraj of Villapuram.  There were also cases against him with regard to the detection of a parcel of guns in a lorry shed in Aruppukkottai.Dayalu Ammal, Pandi’s wife, in a habeas corpus petition filed before the bench, had said false cases had been foisted against him.  The CoP has to reply to the notice in two weeks.
