Chennai: The search for the feamle lead for Kamal Haasan starrer 'Viswaroopam' has ended with NRI Pooja Kumar and the Tamil superstar says the film will be a big break for her.

Pooja is replacing Sonakshi Sinha, who was originally signed for the film. After Sonakshi's exit, it was rumoured that Shriya Saran was approached for the role, but did not work out.

"Pooja Kumar will star opposite me in 'Viswaroopam'. She's a Punjabi girl of Indian origin. It's a big break for her. 'Vishwaroopam' is probably the biggest film being made in Tamil Nadu," Kamal told a Mumbai tabloid.

Crowned Miss India USA, Pooja worked as VJ for Channel V and was a newsreader on the show 'Namaste America'.

She did small roles in 'Kaadhal Rojave', 'Night of Henna', 'Flavors', 'Hiding Divya', 'Park Sharks', 'Bollywood Beats', 'Anything For You' and 'Anjaana Anjaani.

'Delhi Belly' set for Tamil remake?

Successful Hindi hit 'Delhi Belly' will reportedly be remade in Tamil by director Kannan who has teamed up with John Mahendran to write the dialogues for the film.

Kannan had earlier directed "'ab We Met' Tamil remake 'Kanden Kathali', but his last film 'Vandhan Vendraan' was not a success and so he is returning to remake.

'Delhi Belly' remake will be shot with a Chennai milieu and the dialouges will be interspersed with some common swear words used by the locals.

Kannan has, however, not revealed who will produce the film and the remake rights of the movie.
