ANGAMALY: In a brutal attack allegedly by hired goons, a poultry farm owner was killed at his farm in Poothamkutty early on Sunday.The deceased Thomas alias Thommy, 56, Inchicka Palatty Tabore, Mookkannoor, near here, succumbed to multiple injuries which were inflicted with sharp weapons. His leg was almost chopped off. Thomas was rushed to Specialist Hospital where he succumbed to injuries at 10 am. The post-mortem examination will be conducted by police surgeon at Alappuzha Medical College on Monday. Police suspect professional goons to be behind the attack. Thomas was an accused in a case in which two women were assaulted. The attack on Thomas could be a retaliation of the alleged assault on the women, police said. Angamaly police led by CI J Kuriakose and SI Kerson have launched an intensive combing for the accused.
