Power plant catches fire

KOCHI: The power generation from Moolamattam Power House has been stopped after a fire broke out in the fifth generator. Following this the KSEB imposed load-shedding in the city. With the KSEB imposing load-shedding, most parts of the city plunged into darkness.According to KSEB officials, power supply will be normalised on Tuesday. “To tide over the situation, the KSEB has imposed half-an-hour load-shedding. However, there will not be any power restriction on Tuesday,” said Mohan Varghese, Chief Engineer (Distribution).
