Pt Jasraj sings for Mahajan's well-being

Mumbai: Classical singer Pandit Jasraj called on the ailing BJP leader Pramod Mahajan in Hinduja hospital on Tuesday and sang a couplet from Hanuman Lila – a Hindu religious scripture - to inspire him.

The couplet is based on the theme of epic Ramayan and says that Hanuman – a mythological half-man, half-ape character - had brought life-saving Sanjeevani herbs to save Ram’s brother Laxman's life when the latter was injured during a battle between Ram and Ravana.

"I believe that Mahajan heard it and I hope that this would inspire him," Jasraj said.
