Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is all set to address a rally in Dehradun on Sunday amidst tight security .
Rahul's rally in Dehradun Parade grounds assumes much significance as new Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has taken the task of grappling with the effects of the 2013 flashfloods and Bahuguna was forced to resign because of not carrying out the flood relief work properly.
Rahul's rally is set to be a grand one as people from Garhwal and Kumaon regions will be arriving in Dehradun.
Thousands of police personnel have been deployed in the area and CCTV cameras have been installed at the venue - Parade Ground.
Gandhi will also hold a meeting with Rawat to assess relief and rehabilitation work in the calamity-hit areas of the state before addressing the rally in the afternoon, state Congress chief Yashpal Arya said.
