BANGALORE: Volunteers from the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRA) stopped the screening of the Hindi movie Singham in Tribhuvan Theatres on Friday, alleging that there were anti-Kannada dialogues in the film.
The Ajay Devgan-Kajal Agarwal starrer met with controversy on the first day of its release. KRA volunteers protested in front of Tribhuvan Theatres and made the organisers cancel the screening of the movie in the morning. Following the agitation, theatres like Cauvery and Urvashi decided not to run the movie in their theatres.Singham, directed by Rohit Shetty is being distributed by Reliance Big Pictures. "We are planning to mute the offensive dialogue to facilitate the release," said Bhasha from Bahaar Enterprises, the distributor of the film in Bangalore.
