HYDERABAD: The second day of Sakalajanula Samme demanding carving out of separate Telangana witnessed peaceful protests and demonstrations except for a couple of minor incidents.
GOVT OFFICES CLOSED: Staff of various government departments locked up their offices and organised protests on the premises while many people faced problems as their personal works got delayed due to the absence of the employees. Students participated massively in rallies and formed human chains at various junctions in major towns of the region.

Ahead of joining the strike from Sept 16, the government teachers launched a signature campaign to gather support for the movement.

More than 31,000 of about 37,000 workers of SCCL did not attend duties even as the SCCL suffered a loss of about Rs 25 crore across the region for the second consecutive day.
