Ram Temple issue should be brought to forefront of BJP's agenda ahead of 2017 UP polls: RSS

New Delhi: In a renewed clamour for a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya spearheaded by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the organisation has made it clear to all its wings that the temple issue should be brought to the forefront of the Bharatiya Janata Party's political agenda in the run-up to the 2017 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, a media report said.

According to a report in The Mail Today, the RSS will hold a meeting in Ayodhya in the second week of July on the issue.

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat reportedly said that the support the BJP got in Uttar Pradesh in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls indicated overwhelming support for the Ram Temple.
