New Delhi: Imagine Munnabhai in conversation with President Pervez Musharraf, talking to him about Indo-Pak ties, non-violence and peaceful relations.
No, it's not the third part in the Munnabhai series, but going by the response of readers on IBNLive, it may well be just that.
A lot of readers have written in on IBNLive saying that they would like to see their Gandhigiri-propagating hero take on the role of a politician who would change the face of Indian politics.
Writes Prakash G, a reader: "Munnabhai should be seen as India's next cultural ambassador, wherein he promotes India in foreign countries."
Most readers agree. While some want him to play the role of Lalu Prasad, others like Archana feel that he should have a character that will set corrupt politicians right.
Opines Shantanu Das: "Munnabhai should come up with in the avatar of a struggling politician, like a ward councilor, fighting to eradicate the viruses present in the political system and expose crime and corruption in Indian politics."
Other readers are more ambitious in their Munnabhai dreams. Says S Khurana, "Let Munnabhi be the Prime Minister of India and shake the bureaucracy."
Another reader, Dhananjay, says: "The next movie should be something on the lines of Nayak, where Munnabhai is made the Prime Minister for some time and then he uses his street smart nature to run the country. Maybe an interaction between him and Musharraf and Bush can be shown."
Readers like Khalid Qayumi ask for more. "Chapter Three should be Munna and Circuit in Pakistan. It should be a film that might help improve the relations between the two nations. If it could change something, then I think a larger benefit is achieved."
"The movie could be presented in a way which could be an example for other nations. The idea, or the fundamental of the story and the concept should be better relations between two nations," he continues.
Writes Prashant Shekhar, "I feel in the next episode, Munnabhai should be shown as a politicians because it is very apt in today's context that Munnabhai try and expose the corrupt political system and how being honest can do a lot for the country."
