TIRUPATI: Congress leader and local MLA K Chiranjeevi expressed his willingness to join the state cabinet.Speaking to newsmen after launching several development works here on Wednesday, he said he would abide by the party high command's decision and will take up any responsibility, it deemed fit for him.I am ready to take up any responsibility that the party president Sonia Gandhi gives me,” Chiranjeevi said. It was thought that he would be inducted into the Central cabinet through Rajya Sabha route while his erstwhile party colleagues would be given ministerial positions in the state. But, nothing of that sort happened. Again, he was ignored when it came to filling up the vacant MLC seat.Reiterating that he would make all efforts for solving the problems of the people in Tirupati, he said plans are afoot for addressing drinking water scarcity in the town.
