HYDERABAD: With effect from Thursday, the state government has imposed a ban on transfers of government employees in the state.The ban has been imposed following the relaxation of ban on transfers for a period of five weeks from May 16 to June 22. No relaxation proposals will be entertained for a period of six months from Thursday.The treasury officers have been directed not to admit pay bills of the employees whose transfers were in deviation of the ban orders. In case of disbandment of posts, reversions, repatriations, deputations (on foreign service only), disciplinary proceedings and returning from long leave of more than three months, employees should be appointed in the existing vacancies without shifting other employees.Similarly, employees who were transferred on promotion should also be given posting in the existing vacancies without shifting any other employee.The administrative department has been advised not to entertain any proposal where the transfer is not justifiable for administrative efficiency and those who need to be transferred to fill the existing vacancies should have completed one year of active service in the present posting. Any transfer during the ban period should be reviewed by the heads of departments for every three months and reports should be submitted to the chief secretary.
