Renovated main building of HC inaugurated

HYDERABAD: Two years after a fire accident on the AP High Court premises, Chief Justice Nisar Ahmad Kakru inaugurated the renovated main building on Thursday.Several rooms in the building were gutted in the fire accident that occurred on August 31, 2009 as there were no fire fighting equipments at place.However, no important records were lost.The renovation works began in May 2010.The Bar Association hall, 2 court halls, judges’ hall and the High Court hall were among the rooms that have been renovated.Besides these, an additional 49th court hall has also been built. About Rs. 9.39 crore was spent for the renovation.
