SHIMOGA: Continuous heavy rains have been lashing across the district for the last few days.No casualities due to the rain were reported from any part of the district.Water level in Linganamakki reservoir is just 6 ft short of its maximum level of 1,819 ft - water level rose by one feet in the reservoir in one day, according to a press release issued by the Information Department on Saturday.Inflow into the reservoir was 49,043 cusecs while the outflow was zero.Its catchment areas recorded 122 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours.Hosanagar taluk received the maximum rainfall of 192.4 mm in the last 24 hours followed by Thirthahalli - 87.8 mm, Sagar - 61.2 mm, Sorab - 52 mm, Shikaripur - 16 mm, Shimoga - 14.2 mm and Bhadravati - 11.4 mm.
