BHUBANESWAR: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) members from Bhadrak district on Friday drew the attention of Speaker Pradip Amat to the inordinate delay in completion of the Bhadrak-Chandbali road which has put common people in great difficulty. Raising the issue in the Assembly during Zero Hour, former minister Bijoyshree Routray (BJD) said the roadwork is being done by ARSS, the company which has been blacklisted by the Railways. Even though the roadwork should have been completed in two years, only five kms have been completed during the period, he said. Routray alleged that the work done by the company is also of a very poor standard. He requested the Speaker to intervene and direct the State Government to take a decision in this regard immediately. Two other BJD MLAs from the district _ Rajendra Kumar Das and Bijay Nayak supported Routray.
